สิ่งที่ Fei-Fei Li เคยพูดเกี่ยวกับ AI
Li works on spatial intelligence and argues that AI should augment people, with governance based on science and guardrails on its applications.
“The goal of building any technology, AI included, should be bettering human lives and society.”
Post on X “As one of the scientists who helped usher in the era of modern AI, my motivation has always been clear: AI must augment human capability, not replace it.”
Essay, From Words to Worlds “Spatial intelligence will transform how we create and interact with real and virtual worlds—revolutionizing storytelling, creativity, robotics, scientific discovery, and beyond.”
Essay, From Words to Worlds “I really think a pragmatic approach that focuses on applications and ensuring a guardrail for safe deliverance of this technology is a good starting point.”
PBS, Firing Line “One thing that I think we should do is base all this on science, not science fiction.”

Li and the World Labs team distinguish renderers, simulators and planners. Physically faithful simulation supports design and robotics, while scarce 3D data and the simulation-to-reality gap remain bottlenecks. Their aspiration for unified world models is separate from current product validation.

Li’s own answers emphasize scientific discovery, education, public service, interdisciplinary stewardship, open science and reproducibility. Landay and Hennessy also speak; their specific claims are not silently attributed to Li.

Li’s manifesto argues that perception, simulation and action in physical space are central to intelligence and creativity. Describes limits of contemporary models and a direction for world models; its benchmark observations belong to November 2025.

Podcast transcript. She says AI policy should be based on science, not science fiction, and that hype about either the extinction of humanity or world peace because of AI is more science fiction than science. Qualitative; no number.
