What do you think AI means for our future—and why?

I think ultimately it will fix more things than it breaks and will live in a world of abundance and will start curing disease and I’m sure there will be some negative externalities too, but they won’t come close to outweighing the positives

Setting aside good or bad: how much do you think AI will ultimately change the world—a little, a lot, or completely?

I think it’ll change the world completely. I don’t see how we go back to a time before AI, but I don’t think it’ll be so all-consuming that it takes all culture and the human aspects. I think it’ll just make more room for it

What’s your rough gut-feel chance that AI causes human extinction or a similarly permanent catastrophe? A number or “no idea” is fine.

I think it’s a pretty low chance. I believe humans will ultimately be the cause of their own demise

When, if ever, do you expect AI to bring major changes to everyday life?

I’m pretty sure it already has

What do you expect AI to change most about people’s lives, and how?

I think AI will allow people to focus on problems that they never thought they would be able to reach for higher ground and get out of menial task doing and I hope it ultimately makes everybody more optimistic and feel like they have more control over their own outcome
